Hi friends!
We just got back from Greece and had the best time. We went just me and Rod and it was the perfect getaway for our 20th anniversary. Here is a breakdown of our trip through all the different stops we made + the best places to visit!
Day 1 - 2: Athens
We started off our trip in Athens. This is where we flew in and out of Greece. We stayed at the Athens Tower which was very centrally located, making it easy to walk anywhere. This is such a beautiful place with amazing views. We went to a 360 cocktail bar that had a breathtaking lookout + some of the best cocktails of the trip! We spent our second day exploring the town by going to different touristy spots. One of our favorite places was the Acropolis Museum which gave us a glimse into Ancient Greece!
Day 3: Poros
So this was actually an accidental stop! We planned on taking a ferry from Athens to Paros, but took the wrong boat and ended up in Poros. Even though it wasn't on our original itinerary, it ended up being a fun experience!
We went to the pier, Poros Town, which had some great shops + a beautiful view of the coastline. We event rented ATVs a did a tour around the island. It was so fun and totally worth it!
Day 4-6: Paros
On day four we had to take another ferry to Athens to later ride to Paros. This island was the most like Santorini + Mykonos, but more affordable! There were so many beautiful views here and it was a very picturesque place.
We did a pool day + a beach by our hotel, Zefi Hotel, and it was the perfect place to relax and soak up the summer sun. We later explored the charming village of Naoussa, which has so many delicious restaurants + tons of shopping. We also stopped by the perfect place for cocktails, Itria, which I highly recommend going to!
Day 7 - 10: Tinos
Tinos was our last stop and it was the perfect way to end our trip. It is a more bohemian + laid back place with some amazing beaches. There are so many beach clubs + villages that are so fun to explore! We stayed at the Infinity View Hotel, which had some views and it's a short walk to downtown.
One of the beaches we went to was Kolymbithra Beach, which had some cool rented sunbeds and the perfect place for surfing. We also went to Rochari Beach + the Alohari Beach Club which I highly recommend. We later went wine tasting at Ballis Winery and got a full tour. There were so many fun places we wanted to go to so we rented a car and it was a game changer, wish we did the same in Paros. On the last day we went to the Almiri Beach Club which was such a good place to relax.
This Greece trip was one of my favorite vacations so far. It was so fun and beautiful. I loved how every different spot had unique things to offer that made our trip even better. I highly recommend taking the time to explore this great country!
